Who has not dreamed of at sometime leaving everything behind and joining a cartel or the mafia? Well that’s pretty much what Nick Lowell (Jared Leto) did.
While an American soldier serves time in a Japanese prison, he breaks out with the help of his yakuza cellmate. To repay his debt, Lowell has to join one of the most dangerous organized crime families in Japan and climb up the latter of Tokyo’s underground.

Directed by Martin Zandvliet and directed by Andrew Baldwin, the movie was shot in Tokyo and was released by Netflix on March 9.
Alongside Jared Leto you’ll find Tadanobu Asano, Rory Cochrane, Shiori Kutsuna, Emile Hirsch, and Kippei Shiina.
While the movie has to date generated negative reviews from critics, it has gained a cult following who love it.
