We all complain from the same issue, that phone battery, make us completely miserable, it takes so much time, and energy to recharge you phone on a day to day basis, it is actually a complete waste of time, energy, and electricity. And every year, during keynotes for Apple, or Android, we wait and wait, to see when technology will emerge and allow us to have a completely wireless phone, which does not need an electric outlet to recharge.
Apparently, a freelance product designer by the name of Niki D. Chania has developed a prototype, for a smart phone, that works solely on solar power, and on human energy, and vibrations. The phone converts any mechanism, or activity, into power, and hence recharges itself, with the help of three films on the back of the phone one photovoltaic film, a piezoelecic film and a triboelectric film. These films rid a user from having to carry a charger.
Niki D. Chania is based in Athens, and is a mechanical engineer, and an industrial designer. She completed her studies at AKTO, and art and design school.
Huge manufacturers did not think of this brilliant concept, and even if they have we do not see that this has been properly been placed into function. The phone’s packaging constitutes of a small book with a case for the phone inside, so it can be used to store some small things.
This concept is titled Delta V, and we sure hope it comes to life, because this item specifically, can make everyone’s life easier.
