Glenn Jacobs, or Kane as he’s known in wrestling, is about to win the Republican nomination for Tennessee mayor elections.
There isn’t one wrestling fan in the world that doesn’t know WWE superstar Kane. He’s a three-time WWE champion and 12-times world tag team champion and maybe soon an electoral champion as well.

His real name is Glenn Jacobs and he is currently running for mayor of Knox County, Tennessee state, USA. He has already beat other Republican candidates in the GOP nomination by 17 votes, and as it seem, will have the party backing his campaign.
In the ring he is known as “a monstrous abomination that seems to have been extracted directly from your childhood nightmares,” but he’s a libertarian who used to host his own podcast called “The Tiny Political Show” outside of the ring.

The 51-year-old wrestler/politician was born in Spain to military parents who served in the US Air Force. He grew up in St Louis, Missouri and graduated from Truman State University, before opening an insurance company together with his wife in Knoxville, Tennessee.
Kane is not the first WWE wrestler to go into politics. Jesse Ventura, also known as The Body, served as the governor of Minnesota from 1999 to 2003 representing the Reform Party.
If Glenn Jacobs holds the Republican nomination he is most likely to win, since the county has five times more Republicans than Democrats and Independents.
