Ready For The Qatar Total Open 2017?

The world’s top women tennis players are meeting up at Qatar Total Open 2017 this Monday.

The Qatar Total Open 2017 will kick off tomorrow, bringing some of the world’s best tennis player to Doha for a face-off. The 15th edition of the 6-day tournament will start on February 13, and continue until February 18, where top seeds will play for the $776,000 prize pot.

While last year’s winner, Spain’s Carla Suarez Navarro is not playing due to a shoulder injury, the former world number one Angelique Kerber from Germany, and favorites Polish Agnieszka Radwanska and Slovakian Dominika Cibulkova will among the 32 contenders.

The Qatar Total Open is played on a hard court and is part of the Women’s Tennis Association (WTA) Premier series of the 2017 WTA Tour. It will be played out at the Khalifa International Tennis & Squash Complex in Doha.

The weekend showed better weather but forecasts predict heavy rain and winds next week. It is still unclear what effects the weather will have on the play, but the matches are still on.

Ticket prices range between QR 25 and QR 350 per person, and can be bought at the entrance.
