Qatar Sports Club Welcomes Samuel Eto’o

Cameroon football veteran Samuel Eto’o has signed to play for Qatar Sports Club

Samuel Eto’o, football superstar from Cameroon, will join former teammates as he sings to play in Qatar league.

It was announced yesterday that veteran Cameroon football star Samuel Eto’o has ended his brief stay with Turkish Konyaspor and has signed to play for Qatar Sports Club.

Eto’o rose to fame after serving as a striker for clubs like Barcelona, Inter Milan and Chelsea, as well as winning African player of the year 4 times.

Qatar Sports Club tweeted that they will “present the international star Samuel Eto’o” at a press conference.

In Qatar, Eto’o will join former teammates Xavi Hernandez and Wesley Sneijder, who played with in Barcelona and Milan, respectively.

In 2009, Eto’o won the Champions League with FC Barcelona playing alongside Xavi, who currently plays for Al Sadd.

Having performed mediocrely last season, Eto’o joining Qatar Sports Club could be a big boost for the team as they are struggling to attain domestic titles.

Internationally, Eto’o has scored 56 times for his country Cameroon, and has appeared in 118 matches, as well as helped them win two African Cup of Nations..
