Qatar national day weekend events at Katara, the national library and darb al saai

A lot is happening in Doha in celebration of Qatar National Day this weekend. Below is a list of events around town.

With a spirit of national pride filling our hearts, we prepare for the biggest Qatar National Day yet. This year we celebrate unity, solidarity and resilience. Starting this weekend, the 10-day celebrations start.

Darb Al Saai

Having become one of the most popular destinations on Qatar National Day, Darb Al Saai has yet another joyful season prepared for you.

Since December 9, the venue has been clad in maroon and white, offering more than 29 activities setup by various government institutions. You’ll find everything from armored vehicles and military equipment to zoo animals and a Guinness World Record attempt.

Katara Cultural Centre

More than 60 different events are being hosted at Katara, including ardah performance, a first-of-its-kind paratroopers dive, theatrical plays and art exhibitions.

There will also be a dancing water fountain show accompanied with music and lights every 20 minutes after 3 PM, daily.

Live Circus Show Meraviglia

The exhilarating Sonics’ Meraviglia Live circus experience will be hosted by Sheraton Doha. there will be everything from breathtaking acrobatics to extravagant shows.

Qatar National Library

The national library has a special program prepare for children and teens to help them grow closer and more familiar with the nation’s heritage and history.

Authors will read books to children, educators will talk to them about the country’s geography and they can try the puzzle game ‘Qatar District Map’.
