Godless: Netflix made a western with cow-women and Jeff Daniels

Godless - Frank Griffin (Jeff Daniels) is hunting Roy Goode, and he might be hiding in Le Belle, New Mexico

Netflix is the only place where you can watch an old-west town of only women take on cowboys, robbers and mining companies.

Despite arriving late, Godless is already ranking as one of the best series of 2017. The bloody ending of the 7-episode limited series is making people demand Netflix for a second season,

Frank Griffin, an outlaw terrorising the 1880s American wild west is look for his partner turned enemy, Roy Goode. While Goode finds refuge at a ranch outside of Le Belle, New Mexico – a mysterious town where are only women live, work, and struggle to strive – Griffin is leaving a trail of ghost towns on his way there.

It is everything a good ol’ western is, but at the same time everything it isn’t. In La Belle, men are in distress, and damsels come to save them. Will they survive while the entire population of Creed, a nearby town, were hung by Griffin and his band of robbers?

Best of all, you’ll never be able to look a Jeff Daniels (Dumb and Dumber) with a smile ever again!

Jack O’Connell stars as Roy Goode, alongside Michelle Dockery, Scoot McNairy, Merritt Wever, Thomas Brodie-Sangster, Tantoo Cardinal, Kim Coates and Jeff Daniels as the ruthless Frank Griffin

The show has received positive reviews and currently sports a 91% “fresh” rating on Rotten Tomatoes, with a 8 out of 10 average.
