Things Are Getting Darker in Hawkins: Stranger Things Season 2

Eleven is back from the Upside Down in Stranger Things Season 2

There’s much more going on than we had ever expected about the Eleven and the Upside Down. Exploring Stranger Things season 2.

Last year, the Netflix hit sci-fi horror left us with many unanswered questions – who is Eleven, where’s the Upside Down, and What the heck is going on? Well, Stranger Things season 2 is about answer them all while intriguing you all over again.

So a quick general recap from last season and where we made part with the events at Hawkins:

Hawkins National Laboratory, a local secretive lab with questionable activity, opens a pathway to the “Upside Down”, an alternate dimension. When a monster escapes and kidnaps little Will Byers, his mom becomes desperate to find him with no help from the town’s people, who are doubting her sanity. While his friends try to help him they meet Eleven, an escapee from the laboratory who seems to know much more than anyone else about the Upside Down.

At the end of season one, Eleven sacrifices herself to save Mike and the town, and we were left with clues hinting to conspiracy and more revelations about the entire bizarreness around the Hawkins events.

Stranger Things season 2 picks us on Halloween, 1984. People are struggling to put the events behind them and move on with normal life, but after everything that happened, how could they?

Will is being haunted by nightmares of a shadow monster reaching down from the sky. Could it be post-traumatic stress, or is a “spider sense” of an approaching threat? There’s only one way to find out, and the boys are already on it.

Season 2 will also, finally, reveal to us much about Eleven’s past, along with the nature of the secretive Hawkins National Laboratory’s activities.
