It’s time we start utilizing the newly opened large parking building Kahramaa just opened next to Souq Waqif.
Finding parking near the area of Souq Waqif and Al Fardan Tower has always been a pain, but Kahramaa has saved the day. Whether you work in the vicinity or are a visiting customer, you can now park at the free parking building that opened two weeks ago.
The 7-story parking building is open 7 days a week, and around the clock, according to the Qatar Tribune.
Located in the heart of Doha, directly next to the Al Ghanem bus station, it offers commuters some 270 spots. And with their 24-hour security, your cars are safe no matter how long you leave it there.
Despite having opened a couple weeks ago, the building has been put to use as expected. A security guard working in the building to the Qatar Tribune that they have only been having between 10 to 15 cars a day.
This lack of utilization is blamed on the fact that not enough people know about it. But now you do, so start making use of it.
Qatar General Electricity & Water Corporation (Kahramaa) had recently built a power substation for the coming subway in the area, and built the parking building Doha much needs directly on top of it.
