Qatar Summer Festival

The announcement was made during a QTA press conference, during which Director of Festivals and Tourism Events at QTA, Mashal Shahbik, announced this year’s Qatar Summer Festival.

Under the theme “Color Your Summer”, the 2017 Qatar Summer Festival will be the biggest and longest edition of the annual event ever held.

The festival will start on June 22 and continue until September 5, longer than twice its usual duration.

What makes this year’s festival even more special is that both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha celebrations will be inclusive.

“The incidence of both Eid Al Fitr and Eid Al Adha during the summer months this year created the perfect opportunity for us to merge the Eid Celebrations in Qatar and Qatar Summer Festival into a continuous, two-month long festival,” Director Shahbik told attendees.

The 2017 Qatar Summer Festival will bring the world’s largest obstacle course and trampoline park to Qatar, as well as 30 amusement park rides.

Summer Entertainment City is also making a return this year with more than 100 activities throughout the festival’s duration. It will be open daily from June 26 to September 5 at Doha Exhibition and Convention Center.
