You still afraid of travelling by plane? There’s no need to be, because here are some of the world’s safest airlines from around the world.

Contrary to popular belief, travelling by airplane remains one of the safest modes of transportation there is. If you come to think about it, thousands of planes take off everyday, but it is very rare that you hear about a plane crash, and when you do, it global news.

However, many around the world still can’t imagine being up in the sky flying. To make you feel better, we have dug up the names of some of the world’s safest airlines. Next time you feel like travelling but get weak over the thought of riding a plane, book with one of these to feel safer. Even though we don’t doubt the safety measures with other airline companies.

Japan’s All Nippon Airways, also known as ANA, was founded in 1954, and has gone without a fatal incident for more than 45 years. They have a reputation of high-quality service, and have been 6th on Skytrax’s list of the world’s best airlines since last year.

Even though they are new compared to other airlines, Abu Dhabi’s Etihad has maintained a record of no crashes ever. In just a decade, the airline has grown a reputation of reliability and high-quality service.

Taiwan’s Eva Air was was recently ranked as the world’s best long-haul airline in Asia by AirlineRatings.com. It was founded in 1988, and has since not had any major accidents.

You might know it from movies, but Hawaiian Airlines is real, and has since its founding in 1929 not been involved in even one fatal accident. It is considered as one of the best and safest airlines in the US.

Virgin Atlantic and Virgin Australia, founded by billionaire Richard Branson, both enjoy a history of no fatal crashes.

But the undisputed winner of the title of the world’s safest airline goes to the Australian Qantas. Founded in 1921, they have not had a fatal crash since 1951. That’s over half a century of safe flights.
