Are You Ready For The 2017 Qatar Open?

Qatar Open

2017 Qatar Open is just around the corner and tickets are already on sale.

You better hurry up and get your tickets for the 2017 Qatar Open if you wish to attend because they are selling fast. Starting January 2 and continuing through until January 7, it will be 25th edition of the Qatar Open (known as Qatar ExxonMobil Open).

The tournament will take place at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash complex in Dafna/West Bay, and will include superstars like the world champion Andy Murray, who is returning to the tournament after missing last year’s edition.

Scotsman Murray managed to steal the world title from champion Serbian Novak Djokovic with a 6-3 6-4 win at the ATP World Tour Finals in London earlier this month.

The Open will be his first return to Qatar after losing to Florian Mayer in 2014.

Last year the falcon-shaped trophy went to Djokovic who beat tennis sensation Rafael Nadal for it. Murray’s focus will be trying to steal this one from Djokovic as well in Qatar.

Other superstars scheduled to play in the Qatari capital include the 2012 champion, the French Jo-Wilfried Tsonga, and Czech Tomas Berdych.

Tickets for the tournament are being sold through Qatar Tennis Federation website, starting from QAR 25 for the earlier round, and reaching QAR 350 for the Singles’ final on January 7.

There are also tickets for grounds access only starting from QAR 20, and may include fan zone access, refreshments and entertainment.

Adults with tickets can bring along children aged two and below without any additional charges. Children above the age of two will however need individual tickets.
