The Qatar Summer Festival Will Return This August

Explore the fun and entertainment at the returning Qatar Summer Festival, one of Qatar’s most lit up annual event.

Starting August 1, the most anticipated event of the year will return to spread joy around Qatar. The Qatar Summer Festival has become an annual month-long tradition.

For the whole month of August, entire Qatar comes together to celebrate their culture. Throughout town,events will be taking place, each with a unique touch. From culinary arts to comedy shows, and even fireworks along the Corniche.

During this year’s festive, residents and visitors can find entertainment and fun around every corner. There will be live comedy acts, entertainment zones for families, hotel and shopping discounts, and more.

The event, usually held in August, is organized by the Qatar Tourism Authority, and aims at bringing life to the heat-struck country.

The Qatar Tourism Authority that the events, which will continue until August 31, will be held at the Corniche, the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, Qatar National Convention Center, Al Gharafa Sports Club and most malls in Qatar.

A popular attraction returning this year is Entertainment City, it has been announced that it will be twice the size of last year’s version. Taking place at the Doha Exhibition and Convention Center, it offers inflatable games,video arcades, karting and several other fun activities for children.

For the first time, fireworks on the Corniche will bookend the month-long festival.

Another popular happening is the three-day long Doha Comedy Festival, with a line-up of 18 extremely funny comedians.

But indisputably the best activity to do will be shopping. Not only will the malls have discounts, live shows and activities, they are also giving out prizes like brand new Jaguar cars.

And for the first time this year, the Corniche will light up with fireworks during the opening and closing of the festival.
