Sweet & Sour Chicken – Ramadan Yummies

As part of Ramadan spirit, The Life Pile will suggest daily recipes that are easy and tasty. Today’s recipe is: Sweet & Sour Chicken

2 Kilograms of chicken breast cubes
1 Cup cornstarch
4 Beaten eggs
2 Tablespoon oil
2 Tablespoon minced garlic
1½ Diced bell pepper
1 Cup cider vinegar
2 Tablespoon soy sauce
½ Cup ketchup
1 Cup sugar
Chopped scallions
Sesame seeds
Salt and pepper
Frying oil

Season the chicken cubes with salt and pepper, then coat them with cornstarch and dip them in beaten eggs. Throw them into a pan and fry until golden and crispy, then set them aside over some paper towels.

Heat the oil in a large pan and fry the garlic for a short while. Add the bell pepper, cider vinegar, soy sauce, ketchup and sugar, and bring to a boil while stirring.

Add the chicken when the sauce thickens, and toss around to coat. Garnish with some sesame seeds and scallions. Serve with rice or noodles.
