On The Must See Series: Second Chance

There is nothing better than discovering a TV series to follow and Second Chance, the new series by Fox is no doubt addicting. Although, only seven episodes have been released so far, as the show is still running its first season, we already can’t get enough.Second-Chance

The science-fiction crime drama is inspired by Mary Shelley’s classic novel Frankenstein and follows Rob Kazinsly starring as Jimmy Pritchard, a corrupt cop who is killed and brought back to life by billionaire twins at the head of a social media tech giant called Lookinglass, thus giving him a ‘second chance’ at life.

The twins Mary and Otto Goodwin have, of course, an agenda of their own and that is to cure Mary of her cancer, which can no longer be treated by chemotherapy. Otto, who is the bioengineer in the duo while Mary is the businesswoman, finds that the only viable treatment is the transfusion of white blood cells from a suitable donor.

All they have to do is find the ‘one person’ that can cure her and that happens to be Jimmy Pritchard, the neighborhood’s old corrupt sheriff found dead near a bridge and whose murder by two men is staged as a suicide.

Otto decides to bring Pritchard back to life as young man whose blood can be a cure to Mary’s sickness, although at first, she is reluctant to her brother’s plan.

On the other hand, the former cop is not so quick to wrap his mind around his new self, but finally decides that he must expose the men who were responsible for his death, which brings him closer to the kids and granddaughter he left behind, in order to protect them.
