If you want an action-packed remake of a classic tale, then ‘Pride and Prejudice and Zombies’ is the movie you should watch. In this retelling of the classic Jane Austen novel ‘Pride and Prejudice’, the protagonists’ romance not only has to face a clash of social classes in 19th century England but also an army of the undead. Even if you are a devote fan of the Victorian novel, you will love to see Elizabeth Bennet and her sisters as fearless zombie fighters!
For a night out with friends: How to be Single
If you are going with a group of friends, ‘How To Be Single’ is not be missed. Some have commented that this looks like a sequel to Fifty Shades of Grey seeing that Dakota Johnson also stars in this one, but after watching the trailer, we are happy to say it’s much lighter in tone. The movie tells the story of several lonely hearts in New York seeking the right match and needing to learn how to be single in a world filled with ever-changing definitions of love.
For some action and cheeky humor: Deadpool
If you don’t like softy romantic movies and want an action movie about an unconventional anti-hero, go see ‘Deadpool’. It might not seem like an obvious choice but it’s a love story at its core. Plus, the marketing team behind the movie has been betting on the whole Valentine’s Day concept with some cheeky posters. Using social media, they also invited devote guy fans of the comic books to send romantic posters of the film to their significant others, misleading them into thinking it’s a rom-com.
For a classic romance: The Choice
Every Valentine’s Day, producers will try to target couple with the usual romance, and nothing is more suitable for a Valentine’s movie than Nicholas Sparks’ novels. His previous successes include The Notebook, A Walk to Remember, Dear John and The Best of Me. This year’s romance is true to Nicholas Sparks’ spirit with the classic scenario of a boy meets girl, their love story tested by life’s challenges and all tears that come along the way. So as usual, don’t forget your stack of tissues!
