If you are more into visiting museums, the capital’s Arab Museum of Modern Art has been featuring, since October 2015, a series of solo exhibitions by artists from the museum’s permanent collection. If you are in Doha during this month, you will be able to have a look at the collection until February 14. The exhibitions explore “multiple artistic approaches towards major topics of modernity, including identity, invention and experimentation in art.”

A series of music concerts at MIA

For music lovers, Qatar’s renowned Museum of Islamic Art proposes a set of delightful events for your ears. On February 4 at 6 pm, you can enjoy a free classical concert ‘Andalusia’ with the Qatar Philharmonic Orchestra at the museum atrium.  On February 17 at 7pm, MIA’s park will resonate with Jazz tunes with Jazz at Lincoln Center Doha. BBQ is available during this enchanting free outdoor event. For ‘Friday Night Live”, MIA partners with performers from local schools and upcoming artists. The event, which takes place on February 26 at 6:30 pm in MIA Park, aims to support musical arts in Qatar.

Souq Waqif Spring Festival

The perfect festival for family outings usually takes place in Doha between January and February. This year, the final dates are yet to be confirmed, but be sure to check it out. Souq Waqif Spring Festival showcases “street performers, puppet and musical shows, along with African circus performers, magicians and a range of slightly surreal one-off events, including a human cannonball, a seal and penguin show and bungee jumping.”
