Starwood Hotels has recently established its “Luxury Collection Hotels” brand in Lebanon, and more specifically in the Broumana area. The American company is very enthusiastic about extending the chain’s presence in the Lebanese Hospitality industry. Starwood Hotels has recently invested in Lebanon’s Grand Hills Hotel and Spa, revamping the project and upgrading it into a luxury setting. The hotel will feature a number of facilities including 115 rooms, 53 suites, 3 restaurants, 2 bars, 3 outdoor and indoor pools, as well as conference facilities, 2 ballrooms, an amphitheater, and 6 corporate meeting rooms. Bart Carnahan of the Starwood Hotels adds: “The addition of Grand Hills into Starwood and The Luxury Collection portfolio reinforces our continued commitment to expand our luxury portfolio throughout the Middle East with a strong focus on conversions to bring unique properties into the Starwood family that can benefit from our leading lifestyle brands and powerful global systems.” This recent initiative is a step forward to Lebanon’s hospitality industry and a strong asset to our tourism sector.

The re-launch was celebrated with a grandiose ceremony celebrating Mouawad’s 125th anniversary, in the presence of Beirut’s elite. We truly look forward to visiting the exquisite hotel that holds the largest most luxurious five star hotel room in the world.

We are truly happy to be speaking of such initiative, especially within a time of political instability, presidential void, and many many other problems. Some individuals truly have faith in Beirut, and in Lebanon and how can we not appreciate that. Lebanon was always a hub of entertainment, fun, and amusement, and with this situation our longing for the good, calm, and happy days is really increasing.

With the raving reviews that Grand Hills has been receiving after it’s re-opening we really look forward to visiting again, especially one of the many restaurants that opened their doors, Pasquale is an Italian concept, serving scrumptious dishes, to their poolside restaurant, named Pool Cafe, a visit to Chez Alain a french luxury dinning concept is also a must try.

The Life Pile hopes to find many more, or such initiatives to cover during this time, and whenever, because Lebanon right now could really use some active good energy.
