The Flower Festival Hits Souq Waqif

The first flower festival in Qatar at Souq Waqif - Salim Matramkot / The Peninsula

For the first time in Qatar, we are celebrating the beauty of flowers with one of the biggest flower festivals in the region.

It’s weekend, the weather is slightly better and you can enjoy and outdoors activity, so what should you do? Go down to the Flower Festival at Souq Waqif of course.

For the first time in Qatar, Souq Waqif, in collaboration with the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, organized a beautiful flower festival.

The festival has already attracted many visitors, and keeps on attracting more. Heading down there, you’ll instantly notice a Souq Waqif like you’ve never seen it before, covered in flowers and seedlings, as well as accessories, tools and ornaments used when growing flowers.

Several flower farms, floral decorators and shops are participating in the event by exhibiting products in set-up-shops across the West Sqaure of the Souq.

Some of the flowers and plants displayed at the festival are: arumtimum, cactus, bougainvillea, clitoria, Cycas, Orange, Lemon, Ficus, Syngonyium, Carissa, Darcina, Schafflera, Leucophyllum, Euphorbia, Erithia, Carissa and many, many more.

Lasting until December 15, the Flower Festival will be available daily, from 9 am until 10 pm.

Different farms and flower marketing companies have exhibited their products in the shops set-up at the West Square of Souq Waqif.
