Are You Ready For The Christmas Chronicles?

Kurt Russell is Santa Clause in The Christmas Chronicles on Netflix

What do you do when you’re home alone on Christmas Eve? Try to catch Santa Claus, of course.

Chris Columbus, the producer of Home Alone and Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone, Clay Kaytis, director of The Angry Birds Movie, have teamed up with Netflix to bring you The Christmas Chronicles.

The trailer of this movie alone has what it take to make it an upcoming Christmas classic. Imagine it somewhat like Tim Allen’s The Santa Clause, but with the king of cool, Kurt Russell.

The movie follows siblings Teddy and Kate Pierce, who are stuck home alone on Christmas Eve and decided to set up a trap to capture Santa on camera. But when things go wrong, they find themselves working as Santa’s little helpers for the rest of the night.

It is a family movie and is therefore supposed to spread cheer and warmth during the holiday season, and it seems like it does just that. I have personally never seen a bad Kurt Russell movie.

The Christmas Chronicles stars Russell as Father Christmas himself, alongside Judah Lewis, Darby Camp and Kimberly Williams-Paisley, with narration from Tom Kane.

You will not have to wait until Christmas Eve to watch this movie, not even until December. The movie will premiere on Netflix starting today, November 22.
