Is Antiperspirant Containing Aluminium Chlorohydrate Safe?

deodorant and antiperspirant containing aluminium chlorohydrate could do more than just beat odor and sweat

The difference between deodorant and antiperspirant is that the first kills odor, the other blocks sweat.

We have (as well as others) explained this over and over again; deodorant and antiperspirant are not the same thing. Deodorant are usually the odor killing spray-on, while antiperspirant is the sweat blocking roll-on. Both can contain aluminium chlorohydrate, and its dangerous.

Aluminium chlorohydrate is a group of aluminum salts that are commonly found in antiperspirants and deodorants. It is the active ingredient that makes them work.

Although regulations in some countries believe it to be safe for underarm use and allow the maximum concentration of up to 25% (such as in the US), specialists warn that it isn’t safe and isn’t worth the risk.

Although more research needs to be conducted, many studies have found an association between long-term use of antiperspirants containing aluminium chlorohydrate and Alzheimer’s disease.

This is why specialists believe that you are putting yourself at risk of dementia and Alzheimer’s disease if you use it too much.

Also, while many scientists have contested the claim that aluminium chlorohydrate causes breast cancer, other scientists believe it to be true and warn women from using the underarm cosmetics unless they absolutely have to.

Whether it really is dangerous or not, you shouldn’t put yourself at risk. There are many other ways to combat sweat and odor, some as simple as a balanced, healthy diet.

Either way, sweat is waste that should leave the body, so why would you want to trap it inside?
