What to visit

Game of Thrones Fans Can Now Visit Westeros

as the final season of Game of Thrones approaches, visit GoT and Westeros locations with HBO

With the final season of Game of Thrones upon us, the best way to say goodbye is visiting Westeros itself.

Tens (if not hundreds) of millions of people are awaiting the final season of Game of Thrones to air. While some wait with excitement, other wait in despair, knowing that this season might be the last they see of Westeros. But it doesn’t have to be.

Although we might have more stories taking place in Westeros in the future, die hard fans can ease the pain of waiting (and longing) and visit the locations where the sensational series was shot.

Show creators HBO and Tourism Northern Ireland have teamed up to open some of the show’s most iconic locations to the public, the network announced.

“The Game of Thrones Legacy attractions will be on a scale and scope bigger than anything the public has ever seen,” they said in a statement. “Each site will feature not only the breathtaking sets, but will also exhibit displays of costumes, props, weapons, set decorations, art files, models, and other production materials.”

Some of the locations that are included in the Game of Thrones Legacy tour are Winterfell, the Night’s Watch headquarters, Castle Black, and King’s Landing.

While we are promised the eighth and final season of Game of Throne in the beginning of 2019, the show’s creator George RR Martin have announced that there will be as many as five spin-offs to the series. One of them might even currently be in production.

This most certainly means that we haven’t seen the end of Westeros yet. But it would be nice to visit while we wait for a new saga to begin.
