Qatar Prepares to Host 2020 Arab Table Tennis Championships

Qatar will host the 2020 Arab table tennis championships

Doha! Are you ready for the 2020 Arab Table Tennis Championships? For it’s coming your way.

Qatar has been awarded to honor to host the 2020 Arab Table Tennis Championships, Gulf Times reported.

The tournament is expected to take place in Doha, during March 2020, two years before the much anticipated 2022 Qatar FIFA World Cup.

Hosting rights were given to Doha after a unanimous decision during the General Assembly of the Arab Table Tennis Federation in Cairo, Egypt, late last week.

A total of 16 Arab countries are expected to take part in the 28th edition of the championships.

Qatar is no stranger to table tennis, and are the current champions (year 2017) of the tournament.

Meanwhile, the 2018 Arab Table Tennis Championship kicked-off in Cairo over the weekend, with the following participating nations: Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Libya, Yemen, Palestine, Sudan, Iraq, Oman, Bahrain, Qatar, Lebanon, and of course, hosts Egypt
