WhatsApp introduces group calls for video and calls

Just when you thought WhatsApp couldn’t get any better, they go ahead and launch a group call feature.

WhatsApp, the instant messaging app owned by Facebook, just rolled out group calls for voice and video in their latest update.

While users spend more than 2 billion minutes in calls per day, they might soon be exploiting the popular application even more.

Just two days ago, WhatsApp users noticed something different with their calling screens, it had an option that wasn’t there before.

The icon that looks like a plus sign and a silhouette of a person is in fact a button to add other participants to the call.

It added that “group calls are always end-to-end encrypted,” meaning that it is safe, secure, and can only be viewed by the perticipants themselves.
