Qatar has become the world’s first country to offer commercial 5G network services thanks to Ooredoo.
The Qatar-based telecom giant Ooredoo announced that have become the first telecom operator in the world to launch a live 5G network over a 3.5GHz spectrum band.

The 5G network in Qatar is now the first commercially offered 5G network in the world, taking telecommunications technology further than any country has before
In its first staged, the 5G Supernet offered by Ooredoo will be available from The Pearl Qatar to the Hamad International Airport, including Lagoona, Katara Cultural Village, West Bay, Souq Waqif and the Corniche.
Users of the 5G network will have the benefit from one of the world’s fastest internet connections, that come with higher capacity and better latency than existing networks.
