Around summer and spring, it is common to find ants crawling around your kitchen, or other rooms where you have food laying around.

Ants can not do humans any actual harm, so there’s no need to panic. However, it can be very annoying, especially if you’re a person who’s afraid of insects.
The reason house ants are hard to fight off is because they leave an pheromone trail, which other ants can pick up and follow even after you’ve killed off the ants that made it.
The good news is that you can deter the ants and destroy their trail using things found around the house.

Mix a tablespoon of liquid soap or dishwashing detergents with two tablespoons of alcohol in a liter of water.
Pour the mixture into a spray bottle and stray the ants and their trail.
The alcohol will kill or chase of the ants that are there, and the soap will wash off the scent of the trail, leaving nothing for new ants to follow.
