Not many countries have a public holiday dedicated to sports and wellness. Here’s what happening on Qatar National Sport Day.

Tomorrow, on Tuesday, February 13, the country will be hosting the 7th edition of the public holiday dedicated to sports, the Qatar National Sport Day.

Established in 2012, the QNSD aims to inspire the residents of Qatar to lead a healthier, and more active lifestyle.

If this is your first QNSD, prepare your running shoes and gym shorts because you’ll be moving, sweating, and having all kinds of fun.

During this time of year the government asks both public and private institutions to organize sporting events for their employees and local community. So be ready for a sporty event near you, and everywhere else.

At Aspire Park, you can train with the toughest Qatari athletes in more than 14 different sports and activities.

The Mall of Qatar have also set up an impressive lineup of events for this year’s QNSD. You can join in on the yoga session, zumba class, fencing tournament, basketball competition, among many other activities.

Bounce in Tawar Mall have prepared for a game of dodgeball, from 9 AM until 3 PM, at Football Pitch 10.

Tomorrow will also be the second day of the 2018 Qatar Total Open, which launched today, and will feature some of the world’s top seeded female stars at the state-of-the-art Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

Women are also welcome to spend the day at Losail International Circuit, where the day is dedicated to them. Starting 8 AM, they will be hosting walking, running, cycling and rollerblading activities for women only.
