Removing Stubborn Stains and Odor from Clothes

use baking soda to remove stubborn underarm stains and odor

Sometimes odor and stains seem to stick to out clothes no matter how many times they are washed.

The buildup of both odor and stains come from natural body secretions, sweat, oils and bacteria. And while some go away after a washing machine cycle, others are more stubborn and stick.

Hard washing detergents, bleaches, and special formulas might work, but there’s one thing that never fails: baking soda!

Yes, it’s very simple. Include a cup of baking soda in your wash cycle and it will reduce the water’s acidity and boost your washing detergent’s effectively.

Also, if odors are really stubborn, use baking soda as a pre-wash soaking agent. Dissolve a cup of baking soda in water and let your clothes soak in it for about an hour. Throw them into the washing machine after that and run a normal cycle.

Keep in mind that yellow underarm stains are the byproduct of antiperspirant mixing with your sweat, so be careful what deodorant/antiperspirant you buy.
