A remake of the 90s classic ‘Sabrina the Teenage Witch’ is in the making, and here’s all we known.
It was announced that a new version of Sabrina the Teenage Witch of Riverdale was in the making a while ago, but little details were unveiled. However, just like any major in-production movie or series nowadays, there has been leaks to tell us more.
The show based on the Archie Series was a hit in the 90s. It revolved around the life of Sabrina Spellman, an American teenager who, find out that she has magical powers on her sixteenth birthday.
In the sitcom version, she lived with her two 500-year-old aunt Hilda and Zelda, as well as her magical black cat named Salem.
The newer version of the show is however by no means a sitcom. As it was revealed by the show’s head writer and director, Riverdale creator Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa, through instagram.
Clearly, the show has a more serious, darker mood than the previous version. Of course, we should expect a lot more teenage drama, blood, relationships, and death.
It was announced earlier in December that Netflix had won the rights to the show, and have begun working on two ten-episode seasons.
