Qatar’s Al Legtaifiya Park is now home to the region’s first inclusive playground, inviting all kids to play together.
Sasol, the international integrated chemicals and energy company, alongside the Ministry of Municipality and Environment, and the Public Parks Department, marked the International Day of Persons with Disabilities (December 3) by opening a new frontier for accessibility in Qatar.
Al Legtaifiya Park is now the first inclusive playground in the region, welcoming children, both abled and disabled, to play together in the same park.
The inclusive playground includes, among other games, a space whirl, trampoline, flint slide and swing.
The Al Legtaifiya Family Public Park, at area No 66 inside Doha, was just reopened after renovations on June 21.
This project, the inclusive playground, is only the latest among many from Accessible Qatar, an initiative by Sasol designed to promote inclusion and accessibility within the local population.
