Clarence House has announced that Prince Harry, Prince of Wales, is engaged to American actress girlfriend Meghan Markle.
Fifth in line to the throne, Prince Harry will tie the knot with Suits star Meghan Markle sometime next spring, and will live together at Nottingham Cottage at Kensington Palace in London.

“His Royal Highness The Prince of Wales is delighted to announce the engagement of Prince Harry to Ms. Meghan Markle”, Clarence House announced in a statement.
“The wedding will take place in Spring 2018. Further details about the wedding day will be announced in due course.”
“His Royal Highness and Ms. Markle became engaged in London earlier this month. Prince Harry has informed Her Majesty The Queen and other close members of his family. Prince Harry has also sought and received the blessing of Ms. Markle’s parents.”
Under the Succession to the Crown Act 2013, the Prince is obliged to ask the blessing of the Queen before marriage, which she granted him.

The 33-year-old prince and the 36-year-old actress have been dating since last summer, after they met through a mutual friend.
Their first public appearance as a couple was in September, when they attended an official royal engagement together at the opening ceremonies of the Invictus Games in Toronto.
Prince Harry had also asked for Markle’s hand from her parents, Thomas Markle and Doria Ragland, whom were delighted and gave the couple their blessing..
“We are incredibly happy for Meghan and Harry. Our daughter has always been a kind and loving person,” a statement issued by Kensington Palace quoted them saying.
