The Doha Film Institute just opened registration for the Producers Lab workshop, teaching local talent how to succeed as movie producers.

Aimed to support and train local and regional talent, the program will tackle all aspects of movie making. It will focus on the creative, artistic and strategic features of production, and will train participants in script development, executive production, financing and budget planning, marketing, pitching and distribution.
Through Producers Lab, aspiring filmmakers will have the chance to acquire new skills, network with other producers, and learn all the tricks of the trade.

However, spots are limited, there are only 8 to 10 openings, which can filled by producers, investors, financiers, directors and film students, or anyone simply interested in becoming a movie producer.
It will be held in Doha between November 12 to 18, both in Arabic and English, and will cost participants QR 2,000.
