When it comes to captivating eyes, nothing stands out more than beautiful lashes. Try any of these simple methods for fuller eyelashes.

Thin or short eyelashes are the worst. A face simply looks more radiant and beautiful if it has a pair of long, thick and perfectly curved lashes.

There are many factors that can lead to malnourished eyelashes, such as certain genetics, medical conditions, diets and of course the use of makeup. However, there are several ways you can treat your lashes at home and have them looking better than ever in no time.

Olive Oil

olive oil is great for both hair and eyelashes

Is there anything olive oil can’t do? Apparently not. Its richness in vitamin E and oleic acid helps both nourish and add volume to your eyelashes. It also helps them maintain a darker hue, making them move vibrant and noticeable.

To do this you need to be extra careful. Warm some olive oil, but only for a few second because it could easily cause burns to your sensitive eyelids if it’s too hot. Before going to bed, use an old mascara brush or a cotton swab to apply the olive oil to your lashes as you would mascara.

Leave it on overnight and clean it off in the morning using lukewarm water.

Castor Oil

castor oil is healthy for your eyelashes

Castor oil is one of the best ways to beautiful eyelashes as it not only stimulates follicles and nourishes, but also helps fight off damaging microbes.

Before going to bed, apply some castor oil to your lashes using a mascara brush or cotton swab. For more effectiveness, add a few drops vitamin E oil, mix and then apply.

Leave the mix on overnight and clean it off in the morning using lukewarm water.

Lemon Peels

use lemon peels for beautiful lashes

Lemons are rich in vitamins C and B, folic acid, and other nutrients that can help add volume to your eyelashes.

Grab a small container, throw in some slightly dried lemon peels and soak them in either castor oil or olive oil, and let them set for about 10 to 15 days. Once ready, apply the oil mix to your lashes as instructed above.

Leave the mix on overnight and clean it off in the morning using lukewarm water.

Massage Your Eyelids

massaging your lids can help nourish your lashes

Stimulating blood flow to your eyelids can make all the difference in the world, as more nutrients would reach the follicles.

Wash your hand thoroughly and apply a few drops of olive/castor oil, petroleum jelly or shea butter to your eyelids and rub it in gently.

Using your fingertips, massage your lids in small, circular motions twice daily, for around 5 minutes.

Keep The Lashes Clean

Sometimes all it takes is a bit of maintenance. Dust, dirt and microbes can clog your follicles and prevent natural growth.

Apply a few drops of vitamin E oil or petroleum jelly onto your eyelashes and comb through them gently using a soft eyelash brush or comb.

Follow one or more of these methods over the period of one to three months for the best results.
