The Ministry of Tourism of Lebanon has teamed up with Nurai Beirut, a nightclub on Monot Street, to hold a 56-hour long party from August 28 until August 30.
With representatives from the Guinness World Record committee on sight to make sure that the event follows all regulations, the city will attempt to break the previous world record for longest continuous party.
The current record was set by Dublin, Ireland, where 40 dancers kept shaking it for 55 hours in October 2006.
The Ministry itself is providing transportation to and from the location, where an impressive lineup of both local and international artists, live bands, singers, and DJs will be performing non-stop for 56 hours.
