Dumbo Is Returning In Live-Action

Dumbo (1941)

Disney’s 1942 classic Dumbo is returning to the silver screen, but this time in live-action and directed by the genius Tim Burton.

Yes! We will be fortunate enough to witness another Disney classic as imagined by the genius mind of award-winning Tim Burton. Burton, who already changed Alice in Wonderland forever, is now going to show us a version of Dumbo we never imagined.

It was revealed that production has officially started over the weekend at the fifth D23 Expo. Disney has teamed up with Burton and other award-winning stars to bring Dumbo to life.

The all-star cast includes Golden Globe winners Colin Farrell, Danny DeVito and Michael Keaton, as well as the gorgeous Eva Green – who wouldn’t watch anything as long as she’s in it?

Roshan Seth, DeObia Oparei, Sharon Rooney, and Douglas Reith are also among the actors cast for roles, while Burton will be introducing Nico Parker and Finley Hobbins.

Former circus star and war veteran Holt Farrier (Colin Farrell) returns from the war and is employed by circus owner Max Medici (Danny DeVito) to take care of a newborn elephant with oversized ears, Dumbo. Dumbo’s giant ears make him the laughingstock and embarrassment of the struggling circus, but Holt’s children find out a small secret about the baby elephant – he can fly! Seeking to exploit the miracle elephant’s talent, entrepreneur V.A. Vandevere (Michael Keaton) swoops in to cash out on Dumbo.

Production officially commenced earlier this month in the UK, and will be hitting the big screens on March 29, 2019.
