Qatar Airways has been named the best airline in the world for the fourth time in the last ten years.
The leading consumer aviation website, Skytrax, has once again named Qatar Airways as the best airline in the world. Qatar’s national carrier was presented with the honor during the World Airline Awards at the 2017 Paris Air Show on Tuesday, June 20.
Throughout the world aviation society, the prestigious award ceremony is referred to as “the Oscars of the aviation industry”, and it’s not Qatar’s first title.
Over the past 10 years, Qatar Airways have won the title four times – in 2011, 2012, 2015 and 2017.

In addition to the world’s best airline, the carrier was awarded best business class in the world and best airline in the Middle East.
The Skytrax awards are given out based on a series of independent surveys submitted by 19.87 million travelers from 105 countries.
Other carriers making it to the Skytrax top 10 list include, in no particular order, Singapore, Hainan, ANA, Cathay Pacific, Emirates, Etihad, Lufthansa, Garuda Indonesia, and EVA Air.
The award for best low-cost airline was given to AirAsia, and Etihad won the award for having the best first-class.
