Oh, Hello From Broadway To Netflix

Oh Hello, On Broadway

Nick Kroll and John Mulaney stars in the Broadway show you just need to see, and it is now available on Netflix.

Who hasn’t dreamed of watching a Broadway show? Well, those living in America have it easier to catch a brilliant theatrical piece than the rest of the world, but that’s what Netflix is for.

Earlier last week, Netflix released the Broadway adaptation of the satirical “Oh, Hello”, written and starred by comedian actors Nick Kroll and John Mulaney. It is funny, clever and a superb fusion of contemporary theater and stand up comedy.

The show centers on two delusional Upper West Side of Manhattan New Yorkers, Gil Faizon (Kroll) and George St. Geegland (Mulaney), in their 70s, who got the world figured out… in their own way.

They are obnoxious, delusional and awkward, and they are going to take on a trip through their lives, so expect anything.

The idea itself that lead Kroll and Mulaney to write show is even more bizarre than the show itself. Faizon and St. Geegland are based on two men wearing turtlenecks and blazers that Kroll and Mulaney had seen purchasing separate copies of Alan Alda’s book Never Have Your Dog Stuffed: And Other Things I’ve Learned at The Strand bookstore. The two actors decided to follow the men into a coffee shop, and they had found their characters.

They have a love for tune and a fascination for raccoons. They have thick New York accents and mispronounce every other word. They never stick to the script and are unpredictable. It is truly a show for Broadway.

Also, the show airing on Netflix, which was shot at the Lyceum Theatre, features surprise appearances of two comedy icons – but we won’t tell you who.
