George RR Martin has revealed five new Game of Thrones spin-offs, and this is what we know so far.

If you are upset about the Game of Thrones series coming to an end next year, it is time to rejoice. The author of the popular HBO show has revealed that four of the show’s spin-offs are already in the making, and fifth one is on the way.

However, Martin has said that all scripts are prequels, so Jon Snow will probably be a lot younger if he’s in them, and all your favorite characters would live throughout the series (since we’ve already seen them in the sequel).

Martin announced the news on Sunday through his Live Journal, saying: “We had four scripts in development when I arrived in LA last week, but by the time I left we had five. We have added a fifth writer to the original four. No, I will not reveal the name here.”

However, the writer of the books which inspired the television show said refused to call the five shows “spin-offs”.

“What we’re talking about are new stories set in the “secondary universe” (to borrow Tolkien’s term) of Westeros and the world beyond, the world I created for A Song of Ice and Fire.“

He also clarified that the five shows might not all make it to air, or that maybe even more than five shows do.

“What we do have here is an order for four — now five — pilot scripts. How many pilots will be filmed, and how many series might come out of that, remains to be seen.”

The names of the first four writers of the Game of Thrones spin-off have been named, they are Max Borenstein, Jane Goldman, Brian Helgeland, and Carly Wray, with the help of Martin of course.
