Aspire is bringing you the first ever International Kite Festival in Qatar, and you can be part of it and have unlimited fun in so many ways.

But if you’re not a kiter, what would you go down to the festival for, right? Well, there’s many things you can do, besides looking at the awesome mosaic of kites in the sky.
The first Aspire International Kite Festival will run at Aspire Park from April 25 to 29, and will include a series of shows, competitions, workshops and more.
They are inviting photographers, both local and international, professional and amateur, to capture the dynamic beauty of the festival. To enter the competition, all you have to do is post your pictures to a public Instagram account with the hashtag #AspireKitePhoto, a panel of judges will review all entries and choose a winner.
The 1st place winner will receive 2 Business class tickets from Qatar Airways, the 2nd place winner 2 Economy class tickets from Qatar Airways, the 3rd place a D3300 camera and a camera training course from Nikon, and the 4th place a Coolpix S8200 camera from Nikon.
They are also hosting a children’s poster coloring competing, encouraging young ones aged 10 and under to let the imagination and creativity create original kites. The posters will then be posted on the Aspire’s Instagram profile, with the 10 posters with most likes winning exciting prizes from Kiddy Zone.
There’s also a competition for Qatari schools, both private and public. Each school can participate with a team of 10, who are asked to create an original concept kite within a specific set of criteria. 1st place winners will receive a prize of QR 30,000, QR 20,000 for second place, and the 3rd place winners will win QR 10,000.
It will be a fun week for everyone out on Aspire Park, with a festive atmosphere filled with activities.
Entertainment is available on around every corner, with stilt performers, jugglers, comedians and acrobats roaming throughout the park, putting on small shows for everyone to enjoy.
