Bill Nye the Science Guy is back with a new show, but this time he’s on a mission to save the world.
We all remember Bill Nye with his 1990s TV show, where uses to teach us cool science tricks every week. Well, Bill has teamed up with some very interesting people to help us better understand science and its relationship with pop culture, politics and society.
Bill Nye Saves The World is dedicated to fight anti-science claims, especially in the field of climate change, alternative medicine, video games, and sex, among many others topic. Bill helps us better understand the scientific point of view of 13 globally controversial issues, with the help of his correspondents fashion model Karlie Kloss, science YouTuber and educator Derek Muller, comedian Nazeem Hussain, comedian and writer Joanna Hausmann, and the TV host and producer Emily Calandrelli.
Together, they put on small science experiments in Bill’s new lab, or travel the world to take you closer to the issues at hand.
Season one consists of 13 30-minute episodes, and premiered on Netflix on April 21, 2017.
The show also includes special guest appearance from celebrities like Zach Braff, Donald Faison, Rachel Bloom, Joel McHale, Wil Wheaton, Jonna Mae, Steve Aoki, and Tim Gunn, as well as accredited scientists and specialists in various fields.
William Sanford “Bill” Nye is an American education and mechanical engineer, who is known among people who grew up during the 1990s for his popular PBS children’s show Bill Nye the Science Guy which ran from 1993 to 1998.
