You no longer have to run down to the post office to pick up letters and packages. Qatar Post will now bring them to you.
Qatar’s state-run postal service has finally initiated their long-awaited home delivery service. While previously people with registered PO Boxes had to run down to their nearest postal office, they now have the option to choose to have letter and packages sent via post delivered directly to their doorsteps.
Q-Post, as the service is also known as, announced the news through twitter on Saturday.

In a more elaborate and detailed announcement on the Qatar Post website, clients will have the the option to choose from among three forms of delivery, either once, three times, or six times a week.
The yearly QR500 PO Box subscription fee prevails, but each of the three home delivery options come with an additional fee. Customers who wish to have their deliveries made to their homes need to pay an additional QR500 for once a week deliveries, QR1,500 for three times a week deliveries, and QR3,000 to have packages delivered six times a week.vic
To subscribe to the either of the services, customers can proceed to Qatar Post’s website, fill out a form, and then finalize it at the closest Q-Post branch to them.
