Ferrari Celebrates 70 Years In Qatar

LaFerrari Aperta

Marking its 70th year in luxury sports auto manufacturing, Ferrari is gathering Ferrari car owners from all over the country for a big parade with limited-edition cars.

Car enthusiasts get ready for the most luxurious and torque-filled event ever. Ferrari car owners are getting their cars ready for a huge parade to mark the automaker’s 70-year history of manufacturing some of the world’s fastest, most luxurious, sports cars.

The event is organized by Alfardan Sports Motors, the official Ferrari importer in Qatar, in a collaborative effort with Qatar Tourism Authority, Qatar Museums and Mawater Center.

Taking place on March 25, the parade will take-off from the Ferrari showroom at The Pearl in Doha all the way to the country’s first UNESCO world Heritage Site at the Al Zubarah Fort.

The parade will be lead by a special limited-edition LaFerrari Aperta, cruising under a large Qatari flag.

The parade is part of an international network of heritage sites that have been chosen for Ferrari’s 70th anniversary.

The grand attraction of the day, besides a whole lot of Ferraris, the LaFerrari Aperta, was launched this year to mark the special occasion.

The limited edition version of the LaFerrari had only 29 units made, and comes with a removable carbon-fibre hardtop, as well as a removable soft top. It combines the luxury, power, performance and style that the Ferrari brand embodies.

It is fitted with an 800 cv 6,262 cc V12 engine and a 120 kW electric motor, giving a total power output of 963 cv.

The world’s favorite Italian sports car manufacturer was founded by Enzo Ferrari in 1939 as Auto Avio Costruzioni, but it was only recognized as an automaker in 1947, when the first Ferrari-badged car was completed.
