With only a few days left until the game is officially launched, here’s why The Legend Of Zelda: Breath Of The Wild is the game of the summer.

A long time ago, the many races of Hyrule lived in together in harmony off of the the blue life-providing aura of the Sheikah. But when a beast known as Calamity Ganon come to destroy the world as they know it, the Hero and the Princess attempt to stop him, but the Hero ultimately fails. As a last means of defense, the Sheikah awakens an army of four divine beasts, along with a massive army of mechanical guardians. Calamity Ganon was defeated and sealed inside Hyrule Castle, but the King of Hyrule and his people banished Sheikah in an act of fear of her powers.

The game starts years later, when Link wakes up from a deep sleep with no memory by a mysterious female voice. The guides him into the ruins of the Kingdom of Hyrule, where he meets and old man that tells him the story of Calamity Ganon and that he has been sealed in Hyrule Castle for one hundred years. He also learns that although imprisoned, Calamity Ganon’s powers continued to grow, and that he must defeat the monster before he breaks free to wreak havoc in the world.

The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild will be released on the new Nintendo Switch and the Wii U on March 3 to mark the 19th installment of the popular The Legend of Zelda series. The game is both developed and published by Nintendo, who have turned the game into one of their most loved franchises ever.

Just a few more days until you can wake up Link, find your sword and horse, and set off on an epic journey in the never-ending world of Zelda. Until then, here’s a little teaser.
