2017 FIM Motocross World Championship Kick-Off In Qatar

The 2017 FIM Motocross World Championship will kick-off their first race of the season at Lusail Circuit, Qatar, in two weeks.

For the fifth consecutive year, Lusail Circuit will host the Motocross World Championship, on both February 24th and 25th. The Qatar races are unique in the tournament since they are the only rounds that happen during night.

The tournament is organized by the Fédération Internationale de Motocyclisme (FIM), and is divided into two different classes, MX1 and MX2. Each race be 30 minutes-long, and include 2 laps per moto.

Over all, the series will run 20 events, starting here at Lusail this February and concluding in September at Villars-sous-Écot in France.

This year’s defending champion at the MXGP (MX1) class will be 2016 champion Tim Gajser, while MX2 2016 champion Jeffrey Herlings will be defending his class title.

You can purchase both paddock and VIP tickets at Q-Tickets, Virging Megastore and at the Welcome Center of the Lusail Circuit Sports Club during the week of the event. The prices are QR 100 for a paddock two-day pass and 1,000 for a VIP two-day pass.

The paddock ticket includes access to the Grandstand, the Spectator Hills, as well as access to the team garages inside Lusail International Circuit. And with the VIP ticket you’ll get access to the VIP Lounge and the VIP Terrace Viewing point, complimentary appetizers and beverages, an exclusive car parking spot close to the tent, as well as access to the team garages.
