90s kids prepare yourselves, Samurai Jack is returning for a fifth and final season on Adult Swim.

The world’s most famous samurai is back from the past, looking to get back to the past one more time. It is true and it is close, a fifth season of Samurai Jack is ready to be released on Adult Swim this year, and from what we have seen, it looks awesome.

Eleven years after the last episode of season four aired on Cartoon Network, Jack is returning to defeat the evil doings of Aku over one more season. The new season is made up of 10 new episodes, and will start airing on March 11.

While the original series was targeted towards children, this one is for the millions of fans who’d like to continue Jack’s odyssey. It has been rated TV-14-V, meaning that it is not recommended for children under 14 without their parents presence or approval since it contains intense violence. The original series however was rated TV-Y7-FV, appropriate for children over 7 and may include fictional violence.

Samurai Jack will be continuing his search for a time portal to return to the past and defeat Aku once and for all, but Aku and his forces are doing everything in the power to stop him. Set fifty years later, this season is darker, and so is Jack. The time he has spent in the future has made him more like Aku, something that could be to his favor. For the first time, he has a beard, wears armor and uses firearms. Will Jack finally save the future and return to the past? We will know this March.
