A luxury movies theater is set to open Msheireb, Downtown Doha, in just a few months.
Novo Cinemas have announced of a new six-screen cinematic complex opening up in Msheireb, right at the heart of Doha, within the upcoming months of 2017. The theaters will be offering state-the-art technology with a touch of luxury.
The complex will include both regular and what they called “7-Star” screens, which include VIP service and reclining seats.
Located within the iconic Galleria shopping center in Msheireb, it will be a cherry on top of the new mall that is still under construction. Once completed, it will house over 100 stores and the Al Meera supermarket, alongside a modern children’s entertainment facility.
Novo Cinemas already operates theaters at the Pearl-Qatar and 01 Mall in Abu Hamour, and just recently the opened up a 19-screen facility inside the country’s biggest mall, the newly opened Mall of Qatar.
The Msheireb projects is still under construction after having been delayed a few times. The QR 20-billion complex aims to combine commercial, residential, retail and cultural spaces in one place.
Last fall, 80 percent of the project’s third phase was announced completed by Msheireb Properties CEO Abdullah Hassan al-Mehshadi. He added that what remains is the fourth and final phase of the construction, which will be finished in collaboration with Qatar Rail.
Even though the complex is not completed, it houses a museum that opened up just last year, as well as one school, Qatar Academy Msheireb. The project also includes a mosque that so far has only been opened to the public during Eid prayers.
