A Series of Unfortunate Events – Netflix Review

A series of unfortunate events - a Netflix Original

Watch Neil Patrick Harris brilliantly as Count Olaf in Lemony Snicket’s A Series of Unfortunate Events on Netflix.

When a mysterious fire kills the Baudelaire and destroys their home, their children Violet, Klaus and Sunny find themselves adopted by the eccentric and mad “distant relative” Count Olaf, who forces them into servitude. While the count has everyone fooled, they Baudelaire children know that something is up. However they try to escape however, it always results in a series of unfortunate events.

You might have seen the movie, but the show is something completely different. It is witty, strange and captivatingly funny. As much as you’d love to hate Count Olaf, you’ll be dazzled by Neil Patrick Harris’s amazing performance that so superbly it makes the hairs on the back of your neck rise in disgust and awe at the same time.

A Series of Unfortunate Events premiered January 13, and is based on Lemony Snicket’s book of the same name. The first season is made up of eight episodes adapting the first four books of the series, with a second season of 10 episodes planned for books five through nine.

It stars the intense Neil Patrick Harris as Count Olaf, alongside Patrick Warburton as Lemony Snicket, Malina Weissman as Violet Baudelaire, Louis Hynes as Klaus Baudelaire, K. Todd and the tiny Presley Smith as Sunny Baudelaire.

Having been out only for 2 days, the show has already been critically acclaimed by viewers, and have scored 92% on Rotten Tomatoes, and a near 5 stars on the service’s ratings.

We HIGHLY recommend it, have a preview yourself.
