FC Bayern Munich is in town for a 9-day winter training camp.
Just a few days ago, a total of 103 people came off the FC Bayern Munich Lufthansa plane that came all the way from Germany. The plane had 26 players, coaches, medical staff, helpers and colleagues, as well as two dozen fans and journalists, who tagged along their favorite team as they visited the Qatari capital for a winter training.
But before making their way out to the field, some of the team’s biggest stars took the time to meet and greet fans at the Hamad International Airport.
As it happens to be, Hamad International Airport is the German football club’s platinum partner, and was able to set 50 lucky winners up with a meeting with their favorite athletes.
While fans rushed to sign up the online registration form, only 50 were lucky enough to secure a meeting with Xabi Alonso, Joshua Kimmich, David Alaba, and Juan Bernat at the airport on Tuesday, January 3.
Not only did get to speak to four of the biggest stars from Germany’s favorite football team, but they also got their jerseys and merchandise autographs, as well as got the chance to take selfies with the players.
One lucky winner from the 50 attending fans was picked in a draw to fly halfway across the globe to watch an FC Bayern Munich match at the Allianz Arena with a friend, all expenses paid.
