Jordanian-Qatari Investment Forum Kicks Off Tomorrow

Doha is preparing for the three-day Jordanian-Qatari Investment Forum that will launch today.

Starting today, December 12, and continuing through until December 14, the Qatari capital will host be hosting the Jordanian-Qatari Investment Forum. Its aim will be to promote new investments for both Qatari and Jordanian businesses.

Over 80 Jordanian industrialists and traders will attend the conference to represent local companies and showcase their products at the exhibition

The forum is organized by the Jordan Chamber of Commerce, Amman Chamber of Industry and Jordan Investment Authority, in cooperation with the Qatari chamber of commerce.

On the sidelines of the investment forum, the Jordanian-Qatari Business Council will also convene to discuss economic and trade issues to develop and upgrade investment opportunities in both countries.

The forum will be happening at the same time as the Jordan Industrial Fair, which be held under the theme” Jordan today”.

From Jordan, a total of 40 businessmen from country’s private sector arrived in Doha over the weekend, led by President of the Jordan Chamber of Commerce Nael kabariti.

Jordan’s Ambassador to Qatar Zahi Mohammad Smadi said that he hoped the event will boost economic, investment and trade ties between the two countries. “The volume of Qatar investments in the Kingdom stands at $1.6 billion, but they it does not reflect the strong ties between the two countries and does not meet the aspirations of the two sides,” he told Jordanian Petra.
