Netflix Is Now Available Offline

Netflix just released a new service that lets users watch shows and movies offline.

Netflix, the American online entertainment service with millions of subscribers world wide, just rolled out a brand new feature for subscribers with Android and Apple devices.

Their newest update for their app allows users to download their favorite shows, movies and documentaries onto their devices to watch offline at any time they wish.

Once users download the new up, or update their existing one, they will find that a new “download” tab is now available in the details page of a movie or show. All the user has to do is press download and the video will start transferring to their device.

Although not all Netflix content is available for download and offline viewing just yet, users can start downloading Netflix Originals like Orange Is The New Black, Narcos and The Crown right away.

This new feature is very convenient if you are a frequent travelers since it will make it possible for you to continue watching you favorite shows and movies on an airplane, train or even during a long car ride.

The new update is available for all subscribers, regardless of plan, and is compatible with both Android and iOS devices, including phones, tablets and iPads. However, users will need devices with either iOS 8.0 or Android 4.4.2 or later.

The company has announced that offline viewing would be first available in countries with limited internet bandwidth.

In January 2016, Netflix expanded and became available to users all over the world, including the Middle East, except Mainland China, Syria, North Korea and the Russian territory of Crimea. And as of October, the same year, the service supports 18 languages for user interface and customer support purposes. They are Arabic, Chinese (Simplified and Traditional), Danish, Dutch, English, Finnish, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Norwegian, Polish, Portuguese (Brazilian and European), Spanish (European and Standard), Swedish and Turkish.
